Does anyone have a pic of this head of Doc's? Also, is it Lion Rock size?

Blonde youth head
Seen frequently on Robot Chicken - because I begged them to find something to do with this ugly head.

It's a RM Robin head with blond hair and a deep tan, IIRC. Not Lion Rock sized.

No, that is a Head I "re-sculpted" from Shazam with the Hair style based on the Art work of Alan Davis when he was on Fantastic Four. Paul removed the the picture and added a public insult... "because I begged them to find something to do with this ugly head."

Personally, I don't why he agreed to cast it...if he hated it so much.:sad: People on the Museum kept asking me for a copy, so I ask Doc to cast it. The only thing I asked in return was one resin copy.:please_y:

Wrong. The picture was originally there, with this description..."as seen on Robot Chicken...because I begged them to find something to do with this ugly head." And I was told by a Member that he's seen my Johnny Storm on Robot Chicken. And why would he call his own blonde haired Robin an ugly head?

The heads are $3 and $5, only Docs China produced heads are that inexpensive ; IE Blonde Youth head is China produced.

I guess we'll wait for Doc to weigh in (i'd imagine he'd be busy at Toy Fair right now), but over the years he has made these comments about the china made, blonde Dick Grayson heads specifically and the overstock he has on them. I'm fairly certain that he's referring to those, and it is frequently used on Robot Chicken.

Also, the reason Doc wants to get rid of them is because when he ordered them from China, the minimum was like 3000 or something, and they're not a big seller so he tries harder to move them out at cheap prices.
The head the Bat sculpted is resin cast, so Doc only makes a few at a time.
All Docs resin heads are like $10, so sitting on maybe 15 to 20 resinheads is not a major priority to blow out at 3 bucks.

To settle things I emailed Doc ( should have just done that in the first place ) and ask him about the head and here is his reply.

The blonde youth head is the MEGO Dick Grayson head with blonde hair
instead of black. Dane altered a Shazam head to have a mushroom
style haircut based on Alan Davis' run on Fantastic Four in the 1990's.

I honestly don't think you're a liar, I think this is just a small misunderstanding that can be easily resolved.

I went and pulled out the old Doc Mego print catalogue going back a half dozen years at least, and there is a picture of the "Blonde Dick Grayson head" in there (listed for $5).

I don't know if Doc was selling your head on his site, but it wouldn't have been listed as a BLONDE youth head... it would have been resin right? None of his resin heads come painted.

As someone else pointed out, he charges $10 for resin heads, $3 is definitely in the range of a vinyl china made head he is ridiculously overstocked on, and has called ugly countless times on the forum and mego meet IIRC... in my memory usually when the topic of John Horus/Black Summer figure for Avatar comics comes up. I think the "ugly" in question refers to the deep tan and blonde hair combo.

First, I'd never call you a liar. Never having seen a picture on Doc's site it might have been yours at one time but as of now the head is a blonde Dick. Things change and only Doc know what he is currently selling.

It used to be called blonde Dick Grayson head until a lot of the names changed.
Then it was blonde youth head ever since.

You were definitely mistaken. That was always used in reference to his blonde Dick Grayson head. He had a mountain of those that he did in fact beg Robot Chicken to use. He also used them on his "America's Defender" figure, John Horus and several other kitbash figures he sold through 7th St. Toys. If I recall, the description of the head you refer to had originally had the description of Johnny storm head and then changed to (I beleive) teen head, not youth head, after the problems with some of the trademarks occured and he received letters.

I believe Dane's Head was Called Something Like "Johnny Storm Mushroom Head" . Mushroom was in there. I bought like 15 of them heads in the Past. It's a Fun Head for Sure.

For what it is worth I have been meaning to take a close up picture of Doc's Youth head for all to see here. I finally got around to doing it just a little while ago. It would have been up sooner, but my heads were in another location. Wait! That does not sound right....:smiley1: What I meant was I do not keep any of my extra parts in my main house so I had to go out to the man cave and bring them in to photo. :grin:

I also turned off the flash so that one can see the true dark skin tone of the head.
