Will a Playmates head fit a DM or other repro body?

I recently got a Playmates version of Bele, and from what others have said, there's no articulation in the waist, wrists, and the boots are molded on.

So, can I do a head transplant to a DM, Castaway or ZICA body without it looking too out of scale?

Will the clothes fit any of those bodies?

Although getting a pair of boots to fit a ZICA might be a problem; however, the other two won't be.

So, has anyone ever transplanted a Playmates head to a new body?

Let a girl know before she takes the figure out of the package.

Or maybe I should talk to Brian Leitner about making me a Bele head to go along with a flesh toned Frank Gorshin instead. And leave the figure as it is.

Either way, opinions and advice are always appreciated.

In my opinion go w/Brian's head and don't cannibalize the Playmates figures. The scale is just different enough that tweaking it still won't help. Brian's head is shrunk from the Playmate to be the correct Mego scale.

I know of somebody that has already shrunk the head to Mego scale.

It depends on the figure.. The Playmates Uhura looks fine, but the neck post would have to be covered. I tried it and it looked great next to the other Trek Megos.., especially if you had her in the Playmates environmental suit, or something covering the neck.

As for the male figs, I'd agree and go with a custom head.

Thanks guys. I sent brian an email asking if he had any. Now all I have to do is choose a body. A dm bod with swivel biceps, a zica or a.castaway. Any thoughts?

I would say a DM regular body non-swivel. Truthfully I don't use swivel biceps on my Trek guys as they don't need to be as posable as super heros.

I'm getting the Bele figure from Brian, cuz if I just got the head, I'd never complete the figure. LOL.
