So is it just me or is this one of the most boring, pathetic games of the year?
They might as well just make it a flag football game.

Was it last year or two years ago when they started doing goofy "bits" with the players on the sidelines and one of the Fox guys called a play? After that I decided to never waste my time with it again.

Yeah 5 minutes into it and I am thinking why do they even bother?? I understand they don't want to kill each other, but it looks like they don't even want to try either. Lame.

I love how the announcers are trying to make it sound exciting. All it is is a free vacation for most players. I watched the NHL all star game today and even without the hitting part of the game it was 10 times more exciting than this.
I do have to admit though the best and most like an actual game is the baseball all star game. And now with the winner getting home field for the world series it's even better.

I never watch that crap, they should just give all pro props to the guys and that's it..no game needed

The Pro Bowl has always suffered from being the "leftovers" after the Superbowl. But with the league placing it before the Superbowl now, it doesn't even count as an appetizer. Countless players elected can't make the game now because so many of them go to the Superbowl. So how is it a TRUE Pro Bowl when so many players you want to see can't be there? :please_y: And how is that fair for the players or fans? The player deserved that distinction and a nice trip to Hawaii but has to give it up to the runner up because he's still playing? That's not right. To me this should be called the 2nd Place Bowl now. :muh:

I can't remember the last time I've watched that tripe. Completely meaningless. If they put some incentives like the winning team members each get 100,000 dollars and the losers have to pay for their trip, that might change things.

Did you see that last play? The defensive end was literally tip toeing up to the QB. Wasn't even remotely trying to get there, when he could have sacked him. Why play the game if no one is really trying?

I think it could be at least better than this garbage if it was just a flag football game. At least than they might rush the QB.

Linus running his mouth... "Oh our confidence came on after we beat Dallas in the last two minutes." Wench. And THAT is a unique experience against Dallas? I think we gave up five games like that this year.

Just checked the box score. Anyone else find it odd all 8 TD's were passes?

MIB41
Jan 29, '12, 8:35 PM
Nope. The defense acts like their out in shorts on the practice squad.

The highest scoring Pro Bowl in NFL history... YEAH... And how many crickets are watching? :please_y:

Okay... Drew Brees tries to drop kick a field goal? 100 total combined points? Time to retire the Pro Bowl...

The Pro Bowl used to be entertaining back in the old days before salaries got out of whack. Guys used to count on the bonus for making the game and they took pride in making the team. They really just need to retire the game. I wouldn't mind seeing a skills competition - fg kicking/punting contest, longest throw, most accurate, hardest hit using technology to rate the impact, etc etc. That would be fun the Saturday before the Bowl.

I love NFL football but nothing about this game interests me at all. Putting it before the Super Bowl just makes in more inane.

I also LOVE the way they are virtually handing the Giants the Lombardi trophy. The Patriots are truly underdogs based on general opinion. I LOVE it. I want the cocky Giants to waltz in thinking that way. The Patriots are a hungry AND wounded animal. I bet the Giants get a nice surprise handed to them. :smiley1:

They might is well be playing a tocuh game of flag football. Too bad they can't make it at least something, like the MLB all-star game does. But having them skip up and down the field is just stupid.

It's garbage. It's basically become a step below pre-season games.

It would be more entertaining if they actually had to bowl... in their uniforms

It was pathetic. I can understand not going all out and hurting someone but at least play at full speed. I ended up watching the U.S. women's national team crush Canada 4-0 to take the Concacaf championship. They are back to #1 in the FIFA rankings.

Some of that Royal Rumble was pathetic though.

John Cena and Kane in a Count Out? Really? A Count Out during a PPV??? A Count Out???

Lame and weak comes to mind.

Glad Sheamus won the Royal Rumble though...he's slowing becoming the new Cena...but in a good way...lol.

But they have no problem going all out before the season starts? That's what I don't understand.

Because they are dealing with unrostered players going at 100% just to make the team.
