That would be cool as heck! good luck finding one! Check Hobby Lobby's decorations or a hobby store. Might be pricey.

I've seen planes close to scale. Problem is they're originaly made for RC use. Balsa type kits that require assembly and such with interior design to contain motors and RC Servo's. You'd have to redesign it internally and at RC prices I dont think you'd want to!!!
Many RC aircraft magazines on the racks. Once you check prices you'll see what I mean.Comment

Here you go...
Great Planes RC Universe Biplane FlatOuts 3D ARF 30.6" GPMA1117 | eBay
Foam plane...no engine, no servos, no batteries, no controller...just the body...perfect for your needs.
You might wanna change the color scheme though...

I am sure you can get the plans for a bi-plane and make it out of balsa wood yourself,so that would lower the cost but maybe abit time consuming.
As what ddgaff said/typed,i have seen a few also and they are rather pricey, check online to see if there are any plans available and go from there.

Here's the review on that plane...it has picture by picture assembly instructions...you can also see video of it...you get an exact idea how big it is...

Looks like it doesn't have an open cockpit...but I'm sure you can modify it to be so.
$35...you won't find anything cheaper.
P.S. Now, if you wanted it to be flight ready...then that's when it gets pricey...adding all the electronic goodies and stuff...but you just want the body itself for your Mego figures.Last edited by Hector; Jan 24, '12, 4:32 PM.sigpicComment

Scott, you want a custom Mego bi-plane for toy play/display purposes not a real-scale bi-plane riiiiight? My father dabbles in R/C planes. I think your best bet is to find some bi-plane plans and alter the proportions in Photoshop and build it yourself. If this is not for flying you don't have to bother with it being areodynamic and the wings can just be long rectangles without air-foils. You wouldn't need to incorporate flaps on them or the tail. That would save you a lot of building time.
If you also check the paper modeling websites you may find realistic paper models which can be adapted to your needs. I'm a member of just such a site. If you want to get into it further PM me with your needs and I'll see what I can download for you.Comment
