Yep. Lost my power for 20 minutes. Louisville had two tornadoes touch down!! No damage here at home but some scattered damage around town, trees down, and tractor trailers turned over on the expressway. One air conditioning unit blew off a building in downtown Louisville. :please_y: And silly me was wishing for snow this winter...:googly: What was I thinking? Hi today 60 degrees. Tomorrow 37... bizarre.

Dude, you are in Kentucky! Wait 5 minutes and the weather will change!
I remember last year we had tornadoes in late December/early January in the state as well. I recall it snowing on Easter when it was way up in April. It happens.

I never get use to it... Especially my allergies! It's felt like an eternal spring this winter. It sucks.

Kentucky is hell on allergies. I've lived here since birth. The constantly changing weather wreaks havoc with your sinuses. It snowed last week and the kids were out of school on Friday and tornados and severe thunderstorm warnings today.
If you want a taste of weather's full spectrum, just come to Kentucky for a week. It's bound to get around to one extreme or another eventually!

Isn't that the truth. Lived here my whole life too. Just got in from the seeing the mailman out front. He had a Mego Flash Gordon for me. That was the good news. The bad news was a tornado touched down two blocks over. He says everything is a mess, so I'll have to go check things out. I'll count that as my first blessing of 2012. :please_y:

Glad you're okay, and sounds like no one was hurt. The Flash Gordon is a nice pick-me-up!!!

F0 tornado rolled down the main drag of my subdivision in southern Indiana. Damaged lots of folks homes, uprooted some trees and trashed a couple of cars, too. Luckily, no one sustained any injuries and I and my neighbors houses were spared Mother Nature's wrath----this time. Thanks, God!!!

One more hillside over and it would have caught us. Here's the official report. Five tornadoes in one day. Insane folks...
5th tornado confirmed
The NWS is in the Stonybrook area of Jeffersontown this morning. Preliminary estimates are an EF1 tornado with winds of 95 mph. They are still checking so the speed may be adjusted up a little depending on the damage. More details on this tornado will be posted later today.
This is the 5th tornado from yesterday. Other surveys are planned today including one in Oldham County.

We actually had 2 hit here in Western North Carolina last week. About an hour from here a bunch of houses were destroyed. I believe they were EF2. I have never seen this in the mountains here cause the mountains usually slow things down.

Nothing here......yet. I'm sure we'll get one sooner or later.

Right on cue. Under a tornado watch until 5 in the morning.

Bad storms coming again late tonight. The weather men are telling everyone to stay up for this one. It's sad we are having to deal with such crazy storms in the middle of winter. Just bizarre.
