Mego Meet 2012 [Archive]

I was just thinking that I'd really like to go to the Mego Meet this year. Can someone tell me where it's at and where to stay and what Airport is best to fly into?

Second weekend in June (8 and 9) in Wheeling, WV. I believe the closest major airport people fly into is Pittsburg, and then it's like a 2 hour drive. Some meet at the airport and carpool to split the cost of the rental. Most of us stay at the Super 8. It's only a few blocks from the Toy Museum and the home of the Mego Suite.

Last year they offered a meet exclusive that I really wanted. Do they disclose what characters the meet exclusives will be, or do you just have be there. I don't recall ever seeing anything on this site letting us know what figures are going to be offered as meet exclusives.

As it gets closer to the meet, the exclusive(s) are announced. Just check back in this forum periodically.

I heard that the exclusive this year is a Mego scale MC Hammer. Can anyone confirm this? If so, I'm sure the price will be so high...that I won't be able to touch it.

There will be a Pair of Hammer-Parachute Pants for Everyone to Try on this year too...., Whoever can pull off the Hammer Side Step Dance the best, Wins them. :silly:

Might want to research a little more. Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) in Pennsylvania is about 50 miles away. If you are flying, you are flying into Pittsburgh. No point even looking into another airport.

pittsburgh is the best airport to fly into and most members fly into that one so catching a ride wouldnt eb hard to do and save each perosn some money on the car. hi ron nice to see you post here before the meet. i look forward to seeing you there again this year. mike

I am planning on driving from WI. Planning on getting there the day before the event starts. If anyone needs a pick up at the airport, hit me up.

IF I do happen to make it this year I will need more than a pickup. :smiley1: More like a dump truck or large moving van for all of the goodies to buy that I am sure will be there. :grin:

I was only stating it like that in the event of natural disasters or situations beyond a persons control. :grin: My intentions are to be there otherwise. :smile:
