Amazing to think that Zee Toys jumped on the Microman wagon before Mego did

I always thought Metal Man was Micronaut knockoffs.
I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

They were inspired by Microman, and two of the figures are copied directly from Microman Gakeen Super Steel Microman Series - Geeg Gakeen while a third is copied in part from Microman Acroyear [Micronauts Acroyear II] torso deco elements.

I always thought the blue boots of the one robot seem to be inspired by the boots of Super Steel Bazooka, er, Galactic Warrior. I knew about the Gakeen, too. Metal Man toys are a perfect compliment to Micronauts (and Microman).
