Child World Toy Sale from 30 years ago

Seeing that it's close to Christmas, let's take a trip back 30 years and see what toys were on special with the 1981 Child World Flyer, celebrating the best playthings that 1981 had to offer.

You'll find a lot of familiar faces in this one including Star Wars figures, Mego Superheroes, Intellivision, Jordache dolls, Fisher price and oodles more.

I have a Touch and Tell. It stopped working a few years ago.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

Some of those prices are like the 70's... OUT OF SIGHT!

And yeah. I know, it was 81.

We had a Children's Palace in nearby Lexington. I think they were affiliated? They both had the Panda as a mascot.

That SW Tauntan for around $8? It's now $24 at Target!!!

The Wheelie Dragster looks a lot like something from the Evel Kneivel line.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

That Cookie Monster piano is still going strong in our family 30 years down the track.

Seeing the Tauntaun for sale brought back memories - it was the first non action figure Star Wars toy I bought. I earnt the money by feeding our neighbour's cockatoo while she was on holiday. I got $15 (Australian) for the week and got the Tauntaun and a Hoth Han Solo with my earnings.
