IN an effort to "Collect 'em All" I picked up a Kyle on ebay and he arrived today. While I may give him the Toy Box treatment soon, I gotta say, I'm not impressed. There's something not quite right about him. I can't put my finger on it but something seems off. The head sculpt is good but I think he would have made a better Nightwing.
I've got a John Stewart on the way but I think I'm probably gonna completely avoid the yellow Sinestro unless I can get him cheap.
Man this is really bugging me as I write this and looking over at him. I do appreciate the unique to the figure boots and lantern but he seems boring. I don't know, It's just striking me odd.
What say you other collector's of Kyle?

i thought they did a good job on the figure....problem for me is he is just not a character I care about at all. they would have been better off making Tomar re of Killiwog

I think the boots don't look right on him,too tall for the figure but other than that,i think they did a good job on the GL line of figures.Personally i think the yellow Sinestro is the best looking figure out of the line,it was the one that made me say "oh wow" when i opend him up.

You didn't happen to get it from a guy in Kankakee Illinois did you? And do you live in NC?
I traded a closed fist Kyle for an open hand one on Matty Collector forums to a guy in that town who sent me a tracking number and told me that number was for the figure he was sending me, I watched the item go to NC. And I am in Missouri. I think he took my Kyle and sold it, and sent me nothing.
I am just being curious.

I agree. I don't have the figure but the hair seems off to me and something about the costume seems off. I have a disassembled 12" Hasbro Kyle and it just seems more accurate to me. I wish I had the skills/resources to shrink it down.

I like the figure, but I did only get one from Matty and opened it for the kids. He's just not a character I have a vested interest in.

The boots were Launcelot boots that I sanded down to remove all the detailing.
My problem is that Kyle's costume is boring. It's all black and formless.
I also was not thrilled doing this character - but I didn't hate him like
I did Guy Gardner!
i got one just to complete my set,but it kinda grows on ya ,i thought guy gardner was ugly, but i got one of those also.

Hey Doc, if it makes you feel any better about Guy, he was my favorite of the Green Lanterns from Matty! (Kyle is a very close second)

I thought that's what they looked like. I think what your saying about the costume is my hang up too. Even Black Manta's ALL black suit has more 'pop' to it. As far as the Guy Gardner I think he is the most impressive designed and sculpted of the whole collection. In years passed I had done a custom and when I saw yours I was blown away. Rather you liked him or not you really nailed him. And that's of course what makes you DR. Mego and not Orderly Mego
To the fellow in Missouri I'm afraid it's not me, I'm in Arkansas.
