    Billy Blast Off

I'm a couple of years too young to have enjoyed the adventures of this Japanese import (created by Tomy, Billy was brought to the Western world by a company called Eldon) but some folks I know that did grow up with it often get giddy upon it's mention..

I have a commercial for this toy on one of my tapes. They should have called him Billy Battery pack.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

had parts of this set as a kid, probably from a garage sale in Illinois. Were there other vehicles? I also had some terrain road pieces for him to drive over.

Maybe the terrain road was from something else, but this is the set I had.

I love Billy (check my avatar), he's Matt Mason's dorky little cousin. I have a few vehicles and a couple of Billies, I found a boxed Space Base (as per the catalg shot above) in the wild a few years ago, t'was a happy day.

Yep, I had just him and the 'space crawler' back in '68.. I ALWAYS wanted the actual MMM crawler, so I remember trying to have MMM drive that thing.

            Nope, didn't work out well.

The light-up space lazer was cool, but I was TOO much into MMM to really like him much.
