Going to be setting up at the Toronto Toy Show (link to $2 off coupon (http://www.antiquetoys.ca/pdf/Toy-Show-Coupon2010.pdf) Don't let the awful flyer fool you, it's mostly toys from the 60s to the 90s) with samurainoir next weekend.

Stop by our booth (Should be listed as "Odeon Toys") for free trading cards and experience my eye watering BO in person.

I'll Mantooth stuff there as well as some other goofy surprises.

I like the thought of "mantooth" as a verb.

Between that, my morbid obesity, and Palitoy Jr's unrepentantly grifting the rubes for Lego Money, this has the makings of a Guy Ritchie movie directed by the Farrelly Brothers.

They spelled 'Center' wrong on the flyer ;)

Hmmm...it's about a 9 1/2 hr drive from Berto's House...may not make this one but would love to try to get up there at least once, though Berto would have to get a Passport!

He's never left the country...LOL...until Mego Meet...he's never left the STATE!!!

Yeah, any American residents planning to go should please remember that they will need a Passport, Nexus card or enhanced drivers license if they want to get back into their own country without waiting in the Customs & Immigration office for half a day. ;)

I'm completely out of my element with the Action Man stuff, I have no idea if that's a high or low price for him. :smiley1: Looking forward to the neat stuff, hope some of it's still left by the time we get there. Sometimes I wish we lived closer to the big city.

Heh, I'd kill to live that close to the border.

I'm with you on the Action Man stuff, this guy has TONS of neat figures and while I drool, I haven't a clue!

Yeah good point. Living so close to our American friends certainly comes in handy. ;)

Had a fun time. Nice seeing you again Brian, and it was great meeting you Ed. And I finally got a Brick Mantooth of my very own! Next time you guys head to Buffalo, let me know, you'd practically pass my house on the way.

Cool!

There seemed to be some false advertising though, I didn't notice any eye watering BO or morbid obesity (well, not at your booth anyway). What a rip off! And dammit, I forgot to get some free cards!

Oh, and Brian, before we left, I took my son down a couple aisles to buy him a toy (as I promised him), and we passed the gentleman you told me about. I was torn, I really wanted to say something nice to him, but also didn't want to bother him, so I chickened out...

Aw you should have! Ed and I totally gushed, we even got pictures, the Mrs said we made his day.

I had a great time!

Another fun day with Brian and his son, who's enthusiasm for all things Lego and Star Wars is always a highlight.

An absolute pleasure to finally meet Cjeffreys, although it was fortunate that I did get back from my food run in time to join in the chat, I do need to apologize that he had to witness the spectacle of my chili and bacon cheeseburger slobber, not unlike that of Jabba the Hutt.

But as previously mentioned, the absolute pinnacle of the day was being introduced to a man that was not only pivotal to Megos in Canada, but the driving force behind one of my favourite toylines.

:smiley1: No problem at all Ed, I did show up right at lunch time after all. And you were very wise to make a road trip to Wendy's, as the food in the convention hall was a tad expensive as my wife found out.

I'm glad that you guys had a chance to talk to that gentleman, I'm sure he got a real kick out of it, I'd love to hear what he had to say. I do now regret not talking to him, but I felt too nervous to just walk up to him out of the blue and say "Hey, I just found out who you were..." and start gushing at him. Plus I'm sure my son would have picked that very moment to start complaining about being bored. :smiley1:
