Removing freckles

I have a Breyer figure I want to remove the freckles from. I remember seeing a post were someone removed Lost figure Kate's freckles and it looked great. Any suggests for removing the freckles or who fixed the Kate figure? Thanks.

That was me. I used some acetone on a q-tip which may have been overkill, but it was fine. Nail polish remover works too.

For something that small, the paint might even scrape off with an exacto knife.
