    Vintage Toystores Volume 11

It's time once again to be whisked back to a simpler time, one that was dominated by "Mom and Pop" toy chains and the wonderful, almost chaotic way toys were distributed.

Vintage Toy Store Shots Eleven is different from previous entries in that it features only images from 1979, where we are DEEP into an over proliferation of space toys lead predictably by Kenner Star Wars.

Got any vintage pics of girl toys? I'd love to see some vintage toy store photos of Barbie and Strawberry Shortcake toys.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I have a love/hate relationship with these Vintage Toy Store posts. I love them because they take me back to childhood when I NEVER had a problem finding a cool toy to buy, and I hate them because I haven't quite figured out how to jump into the pictures like that guy on Blues Clues. If I could do that, I'd never have a problem finding cool toys to buy ever again.

Bummer, I guess people didn't take pics of the pink isle.

                        No troubles for me.

Something about that Wiz Wheel. I wonder if anyone is taking these kinds of pictures of toy isles today to post 30 years from now.

Kind of funny how the two lone Battlestar Galactica 12" figures are kind of shoved to the bottom even though Star Wars was a two year old movie and Galactica was currently on TV at the time!
