A couple of days ago, I read on www.tvshowsondvd.com about the Isis DVD set press release. It covers the release date and all the extra features. One of which will be an episode of the Freedom Force. There will be interviews with the supportive members of the cast. But the bad news is, that Joanna Cameron, Isis herself, has declined to participate in any of the extra features  Maybe she's bitter about something.
Anyway, you can read all about it on www.tvshowsondvd.com
Cheers.

That's too bad. She appears at cons and did that VH1 special "Where Are They Now: Superheroes". I wonder why she doesn't want to do this?

I would guess that she won't see a red cent from the DVD sales, or it is so nominal that promoting them would only make her more bitter about it. They probably wanted to pay her a small amount for the extras, but if they aren't cutting her in for a percentage of sales, she had no $ignificant incentive.

They should include a few of those bare shots of her from the early 70's.
I'd be happy with that as an extra :)

I think that she deos get royalties from the issuing of the DVD set as an actor.

Unless she had provisions in her contract at the time of production (she was a relative acting newbie, and it was a show that only lasted 2 years on a year to year contract), then I doubt she is entitles to royalties. Its possible that SAG has negotiated something small for actors in this category, but you would think if she had that vested interest in the actual sales of the set, she would take a couple days to lay down some audio commentary.

I'm no expert on this, but I don't think actors get residuals from reruns or videos/dvds unless they had that put into your contract when they signed it. I recall hearing Bob Denver lament how his contract for Gilligan's Island only gave him residuals on the first 3 or so reruns, and how he had lost thousands (perhaps millions) of dollars since Gilligan is/was one of the most heavily-rerun shows of all time. Denver was an established TV personality at the time, and the series was a vehicle for him, so that shows you how things worked in Hollywood for years. Like Hulk, I doubt Cameron got a thin dime from the DVD issue alone.

It is strange since I have heard from someone who met her that she was lobbying for a DVD release. Either it is a money issue or a time issue.
