I want to add one to my collection but need to know how much of my money I need to stash away to get one.
How much does a loose OK condition or better go for?

I think the last one that I saw on Ebay went for about $400...and that one had problems with it. I know it had Melt marks and I think it also had some problems with the propellor. I know that if another does come up, there will be some serious competition for it. Me being one of the competitors

Good Luck.

I would hate to be in a bidding war over that one.
Good luck, like Derek said you're gonna need it

$400?
That is poo money. I would throw 400 dollars at a mego shark instantly, even if it were dirty and damaged. I eat $400 for breakfast, I was expecting the answer to be in the thousands, but like every one else is saying I am sure that there will be some sort of bidding war which would keep the price well above my 'breakfast' price.
thanks guys

So, you eat expensive poo for breakfast?

lol, good call. I was waiting for more comment on what my words were rather than my actual question. :silly:

I have a feeling it's going to be in the grand area for a loose one as well.

MegoNinja

That was $400 for a damaged one. The next one - in good shape - will go for a lot more, you can count on that

$400 is a lot of money for me to spend on a toy. I must either be poor or a skinflint.

Benjamin's book confirmed what I had long feared. The shark I passed up for under $50 several times at flea market booth in the 90s WAS INDEED Aquaman's Great White. Oh, the humanity...

If AM shark turns up I'll be going for it too! I've always wanted one. It's one of the mego items I"ve never owned and have always wanted.

well if I ever find one I sell it to you guys for cheap. I'm sure in all the flea markets and thrift stores I've seen one and didn;t even know it. My wife would kill me if i spent 400.00 on a toy.

I did have a deal to sell my loose shark,
but I've lost contact with the buyer (Jeff, please get in touch with me; please!)

If you're seriously interested in adding a loose, mint Shark to your collection, please email me for info.

Sorry Gabriel, but after reading this thread, I can't help but feel that you are full of um, breakfast. One minute you say $400 is nothing to you, and when one is offered to you on a platter, suddenly you are broke.

MegoNinja
Dec 31, '07, 2:35 AM
ok that does it.

I will explain my self properly.
When I said $400 is not much, I meant $400 is not much for an Aquaman Shark. If I could throw $400 around I would have a lot more Mego than I do now. My point was, that an Aquaman shark, considering its rarity, should go for a lot more than $400, even if it has a few melt marks.
The collectibles I buy are generally in the 40-60 dollar mark.
I hope this clears things up. Honestly I might consider selling off some of my toys if I could get my hands on a $400 aquaman shark but it doesnt seem like any one wants to sell it that cheap and Im not that lucky.
I do not have breakfast money that I can chuck around when ever I feel like it.
phew.

Thanks for clearing that up MN. By the way, have you found the last 3 cards missing from your POTA set? I got some more, let me know if you need them still.

So we take it $400 is not poo money then.

Is not for me, that's a lot of money for me, I ain't rich.

...and no, I've never had a $400 breakfast, God knows I've tried.

Me either. I'm collecting on a budget.

MegoNinja

I wish I had an official "budget", I often don't care how much some thing costs if I REALLY want it, but really, $250 is the most I have spent so far and I really don't want to spend any more on any thing else. The only way I would spend more is if I sold some toys and used that money, like a toy circle of life.
