While many of you may have been aware of this vintage bendy from toymaker GLJ, I was blissfully unaware at how cool it was. I periodically search GLJ on Ebay in hope of finding a Monster Squad Frank Bop Bag (http://www.plaidstallions.com/images/frankbop.jpg) (someday) and this little guy popped up instead. It was love at first sight, the figure is cool enough but the amount of care that went into that card is truly special.

It's like the set of a cool stop motion Godzilla movie you really want to watch. There was no need for GLJ to put in this kind of detail but they did anyway. I am truly smitten with this thing.

It's got a Lionel sticker on it, which is where mine came from in 1978! You are correct, not only is the package great, but the the figure is pretty darn cool as well - the tail has a wire in it. I spent years hoping there would be more in the series, alas to no avail.

had him and loved the card photo, too. I promptly let him stomp thru my N scale train set up.

Now that is cool! Great card design just sweetens the deal, doesn't it?

I still have mine from when I was a kid. It's loose and my kids like to pretent that it's Minya. I loved all things bendy in the 70s.

Most Godzilla stuff is USUALLY pretty cool. This would be one of those things.

I remember chewing on this when I was very small. I'd love to get another, one day.
Love the card art!

Love the card art!

But hopefully, you wouldn't chew on it nowadays, right??

"Bend and pose in thousands of different positions."

I can't even do that. Must have truly been an amazing toy. I like how they painted the bendy for the card art and the actual toy looks like a gummi bear. Cool stuff, though. I do seem to remember having this...

Love the card art for this. I had a bunch of them over the years when I was younger and now I think I still have 3 of them. I have never come across any that have not torn in someway. Would love to own one on the card though. Great stuff as usual Brian--

I do recall having him fight those 70's rubber ants quite a bit
