Fun with Glow in the Dark

Glow in the dark was always a selling feature for me as a kid, it really gave toys some extra play value, especially anything related to monsters. So i thought it would be fun to turn out the lights and see these things in action. Above are the Remco Mini Monsters and there is more incandescent toy action after the jump.

This is the mexican version of Zorak from the Cipsa Big Jim line.

The Phantom of the Opera from the Remco Monsters 9" line.

Toriac from the Lords of Light and Membros from the Micronauts.

Frankenstein from the Remco Monsters at Home Series.

    A Marx Wolfman figure.

It's hard to see but this is Mego Mad Monsters Dracula and Mummy.

A display card of glow in the dark monster stickers.

Glow in the dark and translucent plastic are the best toy gimmicks ever.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Didnt we do a thread a while back that tried to list as many different GID toys as possible? If I can find it I'll post a link for new members or people who didnt see it, im sure we missed some so could always use some new updates.

As a kid, I didn't realize that the Micronaut's Pharoid figure had a glow-in-the-dark chest piece until after I had played with it for years. I remember how surprised (and happy) I was to discover that!
