View Full Version : Is this a Dinah Mite dress in this auction lot?

There's a Dinah in the lot, and the sleeves look just like another outfit in the gallery, but I don't see anything in that fabric. Did I miss a fashion, or might this be a variation?

All I can see is the sleeve.

I can't enlarge the picture to get any clear detail, but maybe it's a variant.

That also might be because of the guy laying on top of the dress. He's smaller than Mego scale. I just cropped the picture, hoping to be able to zoom in.
I bid because I wanted something else in the lot, and won. I'll post again when it arrives.

You are probably right (about the smaller figure on top).

Please do post when you get it, I would be curious to see any Dinah variants.

Bryan, is yours a variation of Dinner Party, from the New Fashions? That's what it looked like to me. According to the tracking information, it should be here this afternoon.

Yup, the one with the weird gold sleeves is Dinner Party and the one with the lacy sleeves is Brocade Beauty. DP is one on the "New Fashions" and BB is a "Fabulous Fashion" according to the assortments posted in the Galleries.
Have any other varieties of this outfit been found? I have one that is similar to Brocade Beauty, but it came with a Rood Super Girl, so I'm assuming it was made for her.

I haven't seen a Dinner Party dress in fabric like the one I just got before. Anyone else?

Interestingly enough, I just did a quick search for the Rood Supergirl and jemboy's site has a scan of the back of the box. The Supergirl outfits shown on the back look like they're mostly the same fabrics as Dinah's. Looks great! I like it better than the regular Dinner Party outfit

Thanks, me too. I actually really like that combination of pink, brown, yellow and orange. It sounds hideous, but actually looks pretty good in person.
