Any recommendations? My friend ios shopping for an X-Mas present. Is that price range too low?

$50 is a little low, unless it's not very good quality. The decent ones usually start around $70 (that's even the average price on ebay). Where in New Jersey are you? I might have a good shop to check out.

P.S. Also check out MRC - RC, Hobby, Remote Control, Radio Control, Flight Simulators, Battery Chargers, 1/32 Slot Cars, Model Trains, Plastic Models (http://www.modelrectifier.com), they've got a couple of good clearence sales on right now, where the cars are $25-$60.

He's looking for a buggy that goes fast but looking at this site I see stuff at $250.00 or so. I bet what he's looking for he won't find in that price range.
