    Tonner batman

I happen to see this months Toy fare and they had a pic of the Tonner Batman.......I don't mind the silver age look but the removable mask is just horrible the head looks okay.

    This is from the site
DC Stars Collection - Tonner Doll Company

I love his Mera and Aquaman isn't bad but the mask does look a little odd on this doll. I feel the same way about the batgirl mask too. Otherwise it's not too bad looking.

the mask looks REALLY bad, but other than that, for a tonner doll, it's not bad.

I’ll say it again I just don’t get the market for these. I can’t imagine fashion doll collectors wanting them and they are way too goofy looking for super hero collectors. Also when you compare the Tonner Batman to the DC Direct 13 inch Batman, it goes from goofy to down right cringe worthy. The DC Direct one is also a fraction of the price.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

it seems they sculpted a Batman Begins cowl and decided to go with a classic look and color instead.

Mego's Batman cowl was better 35 years ago.

The blue is WAY too light as well. I agree with everything Werewolf said on this.

I don't dig the white eyes in the cowl. makes him look like Galt (that's his name, right?) from "Gamesters of Triskelion", who is cool, but...well, you get my point....

How do you spend who knows much money on a license, go through who knows how many meetings and emails and come up with that?

I think the figure wouldn't be all that bad if the whole head piece was just chopped off(including the cowl). The head is just what destroys the figure.

If you've got $170 to blow on a Batman figure like that, I think I can cobble together something with a group of kindergarteners using latex paint, a discarded Ken doll, and an old bowling bag that can equal if not surpass THAT effort.
