    Type3Toys Presents The Amazing Spider-Man!

    They are finally done!
I based this figure on the artwork of John Romita. I built him on my custom Type3 body. I also did an original head sculpt for him. The suit is all machine sewn by me as well.

    Holy Mother of GAWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You sir ROCK!
That, is to date the best work of yours personally and the very best scratch, or otherwise, Spidey I have EVER seen.... Son of a &#%$! that's good! I love everything about it... the head, the hands, the outfit is both Spectacular and Amazing The eyes are ROMITA to the "T"... I got to say that I would put that up in the custom hall of fame chief!

    Way to go big John!

I REALLY wish I could sew like that. That is an incredible Spiderman! How did you ever make the web on his suit?

Omigod! That is...dare I say it....absolutely AMAZING! Incredible, stupendous work John! That hand-sewn suit is just phenomenal! I've been quietly, patiently waiting to see how this was going to come out and it definitely exceeded my expectations (which were quite high to begin with since you were doing it). David Lee is right^...this is without a doubt your BEST work to date! You really deserve any and all accolades that I'm sure will soon follow this post! Un-freakin' believable! Take a bow John! Twipp twipp!

Amazing Figure Johnny. Congrats. I know how long you have been working on this figure, & all the time & Swear words paid off for you. That Head sculpt is your best, for sure. Figure of the Yr, IMO.

I think this is my favorite you've done. You've taken one of the more simple looking characters and added dimension. I really love what you've done with the suit, that couldn't have been easy, but I especially like what you did with the head sculpt. You can see the shape of a face under the mask. Very impressive detail there.

You're Type 3 body might be a little too muscular for my personal interpretation of this character, but that's just me because I lean towards the more cartoony 70's Mego look. So that isn't a flaw by any means. The head sculpt and suit just blow me away though. You've taken a classic, made a modern version with modern details, yet still have managed to keep a classic look. That's not easy. Bravo!

                  Ehhh, it's okay.

Sorry, I'm back - I had to exorcise that demon that just got inside me.

This is absolutely a labor of love...because no one would work as hard or as long on one custom as John did unless he didn't just absolutely love the character. How long John? 7, 8 months?

Mine is in the mail as I write this, and it will be the CENTRAL PIECE of my customs collection.

Absolutely amazing. Romita would be proud John - you have made your masterpiece. You might as well give up, because this is as good as it gets.
I nominate it for custom of the year!!!!
