I hadn't read this yet. If true, that's really cool. Since my hometown team seems intent on losing every game of this upcoming season, I'm in need of another team to follow. Maybe it's Denver...

If Tebow went out and fell flat on his face, climbed into the stands, slapped a nun, grabbed a college girl inapproprately, slammed a couple of beers, fell down the stairs back onto the field, and stumbled out on the field and mooned the cameras on Monday Night .....he would never come close to being the failure that Leaf was/is.
Tebow has what we call character. Class. and Intelligence. Not to mention a fantastic arm, and is a fantastic athlete. Tebow is an incredible roll model for the kids and knows how to work the fan base. He is just what the broncos need right now. ....and I dont even like the guy. lol:smiley1:

Mixed on this... I am gonna give him a chance. I mean the Heisman and two national championships? That's gotta mean somthing...
Reality? he ain't gonna scramble in the NFL... so his arm, which is capable, will have to do it all, oh and sorry Tim, there will be none of those goofy little jump/dump passes over the offensive line either.
He better bring it... but I think he can, or at least I will give him a chance..for now( I fully reserve the right to pile on and trash Timbow later)
Drafting for Fantasy Football? maybe if I get some good starters first

As much as I like him, Never draft a rookie(basically)QB in FF lol

Heck, Tebow is in danger of becoming the FOURTH QB on the roster...
"As one highly knowledgeable member of the organization told me Monday, “If everything was totally equal, and this were a competition based only on performance at this camp, Tebow would probably be the fourth-string guy. Kyle [Orton] is far and away the best, and Tebow’s way behind [Brady] Quinn, too. And I’m telling you, Adam Weber is flat-out better right now.”"

In all seriousness...the Broncos should make him a fullback.

Like I said, make him a full-time fullback...his QB skills don't seem to be of NFL caliber...man...he's this close to being FOURTH QB on the roster...unreal.
I think he'd make a pretty solid fullback...but not QB...at least not at the present time.
I'm not saying he will always suck...sometimes some QB's take a long time to develop (as you know)...Tebow is very young...and he's a spectacular athlete...he has that going for him.
All the Raiders QB's suck arse...I wouldn't mind if the Broncos traded Tebow to Oakland..we'd gladly take him...

It was a major reach for the Broncos to take Tebow in the 1st round and McDaniels was just trying to show off. For that reason alone I wouldn't call him a bust because he should have been taken in the 4th - 6th Rounds. The bottom line is Tebow wasn't a great college QB mechanically (he won games with his feet more than his arm) and he won't be a good NFL QB. I tend to believe people like Merril Hodge and John Clayton who know a thing or two about football. Is he a good guy? Probably, but that doesn't mean he's going to be a good pro.

The thing you have to understand with Tebow is that he'll never have the mechanics of an average QB just like Vick still doesn't have it and look at how he's playing..Tim is a gamer who performs when the time comes...Just look at his first preseason game...he played really good....They should you just trade him, he'd be great for a team that runs the wildcat Offense, like Miami ;)

Well...Tebow will make for good television if nothing else. If he can measure up to half the expectations people have of him, it will be a miracle.

Interesting. The news I'm getting out of Bronco country is Tebow is NOT looking to be the starter.

Merril Hodge was a slob player, he had 1 more fumble than he did rushing TD's he only played 6 full seasons.
Tebow is winner, if Fox , who by the way is a .500 lifetime coach wants to cut him. please do, because he will come to a ticker tape parade in Miami.

Chris, I agree with everything you said.
Of course it is all opinion until time proves this out but I too do not see an NFL type QB in Tebow. I don't know much about his personal life other then what I have read here and there. It is good to know he isn't a jerk or idiot or semi-criminal like too many NFL players are now days but the bottom line is none of it can make him an accurate passer nor help him learn to read defenses. I have yet to see anything special about him as a possible NFL caliber QB. He does have the size to play HB/FB or LB but again this is not the QB position which in my opinion is THE hardest position to play in the NFL. I have seen plenty of great athletes fail before him and that is what I see with Tebow, a great athlete. Somebody may be able to mold him into an NFL QB but from what I have seen so far he is still quite a ways off of being there at this point.

And yet you forgot the 150 I.Q. The will to not be denied. The winning is everything attitude, The ability to throw flat footed 60 yrds, or run over NFL linebackers and he is not inaccurate, he has a problem with taking the snap under center. I hope to hell that they cut him. Pay him the millions owed and come to South Beach.
John Elway had the worst rookie year recorded.

I like Tebow, but I think he'd be a better fit as a FB or TE. He's a winner and as tough as they come. I'd take him in Indy for a FB. We definitely need help there.

A 150 IQ is no use if you can't accuratey throw a 12 yard out route. Everyone and their brother seems to realize he isn't a good QB except for you :smiley1: It's all a crap shoot anyways...no one will ever know unless he actually gets to play QB regularly.
