Hi All

I've been a member for a while now but have never done any Mego customs except for a few repaints. I have been building 1/6 custom figures and dio's for years now but want to start doing 8" figures.

I would like to know what sites are the best to buy parts and custom items from, what I am after the most is clothing, bodies etc.

Cheers
Ron

what they said. plus, you might want to try the Marketplace if you're looking for something specific.

Theres a lot of custom head makers out there

Reproheads hasput out a lot of 12" to 8" shrinks.

I am not in the loopbut some of the really great head to toe customisers either make thier own parts, or buy them from each other : hands etc . . .Black Knight comes to mind, Type 2 Toys, . . some only sell completed customs.
If you get to a part you can't seem to do on your own someone here can help you out one way or another.

Good Luck!
Still love to see some 12" customs in the Completed Custom Thread!!!!!!

Hi All

samurainoir - Cheers mate, glad you liked the Blade Runner figure and I'm looking at doing one in 8" soon. Ijust purchased the EMCE Franky and Wolfy and will be customizing them and I have started on some small dio's to place them in.

TrueDave - Appreciate the info mate thank you, I've got a few links now and also a few contacts so I'm on my way.

As for my 1/6 customs I wasn't to sure if they were allowed in the finished custom thread as they aren't mego.

Your stuff looks really, really good. You've done some very fine work, Ron. It appears you've dabbled in a variety of scales, so now it's about time you make some 1/9 figures. I'm very curious what you can accomplish as you've already proven yourself otherwise. Looking forward to seeing your custom work.

Dioramas is something I would like to see.
I know plenty of bases have to exist out there as MEGO and Aurora model kit Monsters etc. were the same 8" scale . . . . . . . .
When I was into modeling there were lots of resin Garage kits that could be had.

I've seen the Aurora model kits and they look really good. I like doing dio's from scratch and I think it really gives the figures a more realistic feel as well.
