Yep,
Early next year I get to go see KISS!!
I never thought I would get to go to a KISS concert but here we are. Next March my sister and I are going to have the honor of seeing (front row) KISS. Next year is going to full of action for me actually, in order of what concerts I am going to is
-Iron Maiden
-Cyndi Lauper
-KISS

I know Cyndi Lauper is really out of the ordinary compared to the other rock bands I am seeing, but I have to see her because I am from the eighties so I am obligated to see her sing 'girls just wanna have fun'.
Lol, any way, I think KISS performing is just a one night thing, I don't think that they are doing a tour or any thing. Should be awesome any way and I will be sure to get heaps of pic's.
Does any one know anything else about this, or is any one else going? They are performing at the Grand Prix in Melbourne.

March 16th, Grand Prix, Albert's Park Lake, Victoria, Melbourne.
Which is a fair hike from Delaware, USA. It would be great if you could make it though, seeing KISS isn't too common.
as for you toys2cool, I hope you get to see them one day, I have been waiting basically my whole life to see them, I wasn't around in the 70's to go to their concert's and I was too young in the 80's to go to a concert by my self so I have been 'KISS-less' this whole time.

You'll love it! I've seen them 3 times. Last time was in the Cotton Bowl back in '84 at the Texas jam.

I saw them 3 times as well in the 90's, luckily with the whole original line-up. Still would see them again even though Ace and Peter are not there anymore. It's the show to end all shows :)

Awesome! 'The hottest band in the world...!' I saw 'em in 1979 at the Houston Summit -- my first concert ever. I own the KISSology DVD set, and I still love the band after all these years! Enjoy the show in Melbourne Rock City!!

wow!
you guys are lucky getting to see them 3 whole times, I can rightly assume that this will be the first and last time I will get to see them before my bloating corpse completely expires.

It's a great show man. KISS was my first show, in 87-88 "Crazy Nights tour"(Nugent opened for them! What an amazing show!)
then I saw them again on the "Hot in the Shade tour" in 89-90, then again for "Revenge" in 1992, then I caught them on the 3rd show of the "Alive Worldwide Tour" in Pittsburgh PA, (Detroit and Cle OH were first and second)then on the same tour in Roanoke Va., Then in my hometown of Charleston WV, then once again for the "Psycho Circus tour"(I really didn't like that one all too well, they looked too tired. The Pit show was the best KISS performance I'd ever seen, they almost did every song they ever played from 74-79! I swear we didn't leave that arena till 1am and the show started at 8pm!) You will enjoy it! Tommy Thayer I hear is great as Ace, he should be, he taught Ace all the KISS songs for the reunion tour. (It had been literally a decade since he played some KISS songs)

Personally, I would be jazzed for Iron Maiden more, I've only seen them twice.

I love me some Maiden!

You won't be dissapointed!

I've loved them since I was a kid. I never got a chance to see them back in the 70's (I almost saw them during the '79 Dynasty tour, but it didn't pan out :muh: ), but I did see them on the Crazy Nights and Hot in the Shade tours during the 80's, and on the first Reunion tour. I'm sure you'll have a great time, they are a must see band. Enjoy! :)

Growing up I had 3 opportunities to see them , my best friend got the tickets. And all 3 times something bad happened to me so I couldn't go.
When they got back together I swore I would not miss them. I had to drag the wife who didn't really want to go.Since then she has bought us tickets to see them 2 more times. She loves them now. A live Kiss show can convert just about any one!
I really would love to see them 1 more time and bring my 2 sons , who are also big fans.
Maybe one day!

I've seen em in 1987, 1996, 1997, 1998.
Their shows are so energetic. All the standing, feet stompin', hand clappin and yellin, I was totally worn out and sweat thru my shirt :smiley1:

I haven't seen them live (except for dvd) since Gene bought out Pete and Ace's make-up rights and put em on the new dudes.

I must have fell under a rock for a while, but after just finishing up KISSology Volume 2 a few months ago, I learned just this week that Volume 3 is due out Dec 18th!! Whoo Hooo. They have some good stuff on it's lineup.

Unfortunately, they won't be plaaing any shows in the states next year . . . . the last I heard there will only be about 6 shows in New Zeland and Australia. However, you know Gene, if there's an opportunity to make a buck . . . . . .
