* Mego 1979 1980 Vintage Star Trek Alien Aliens Movie | eBay (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5574962988&toolid=10001&campid=5336844604&customid=&icep_item=180628704747&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg)

A complete set of Star Trek motion picture figures for probably oh, about 12X what you'd end up picking them up on ebay for. If anybody is tempted I've got a set of these and will part with them for half of this price.

I always wonder about auctions like these, they don't seem motivated to sell in any way. Is the person justifying their collection to their spouse? Simply showboating? I mean for $18,000 that's about the worst photo I could think of and how does the person do when they see stuff like this?

Once in a lifetime opportunity to spend your life savings. I especially love trying to read the description with black type on a dark blue background. Good luck.

For $19K, you could probably get an original cast member to come over and trim your hedges for an afternoon.

Unfortunately, ebay's current cost structure that weights fees on final value and not listing fees supports this type of auction. You wouldn't see this years ago; the listing fees would have been exhorbitant.

I can't even imagine what $19K could get me in downtown Halifax on a Friday night but I'm betting I'd be sore the next day.

I just realized he's missing an alien. So that makes my set worth 10k.

This reminds me of the peeps that have cases at the antique mall with stupid dope smoking prices on their stuff. You see the same stuff in the same case month after month.

Why won't these people get a clue and lower their prices to sell the stuff instead of paying monthly rent on it? After many months of paying rent they could have just gave the stuff away for FREE and saved all of the money in rent that they are paying losing money on the stuff they are wanting to sell. :smiley1:
