Hey Mike. Can you recommend a great pizza place (near pioneer square) for this Saturday? Running the marathon and then looking for good pizza/ vino after :)

Near Pioneer Square, I would recommend two places NEAR pioneer square since there are NO good pizzeria in Pioneer Square unless you want cheap cardboard stuff.
One is in First Hill, the neighborhood to Pioneer Square, just northwest.
PRIMO (http://www.primoseattle.com/Primo_Seattle/PrimoSeattle.html). The place is owned by my daughter's uncle and he knows his pies since he worked for many 'za places in town and is a major foodie. Plus the place is SNAZZY!
Second is Serious Pie (http://tomdouglas.com/) which is owned by Tom Douglas. Super fancy pies. Long wait but worth it. Place is located in Belltown, the other side of Pionner Square. North end.
Not much good food in Pioneer Square unless you like mediocre filler stuff or if you want asian, the International district has plenty to choose from for evening dining.

I won't be available July 4th-10th but after that it will work.
Another venue would be nice. I still like the idea of going to Kangaroo & Kiwi in Greenlake. Dig me some Vegemite sandwich and chips.
But I'm open to anywhere!

I'm planning to drive up to Seattle some weekend in July, so I'll watch this thread.

that would be cool Sandy. except we have been meeting at Dicks for at least a year now every 2 or three months so its getting played out but if you have a set date you are coming up to Seattle let me or one of the Seattle peeps know we want to meet you my man

Another good pizza joint is Belltown Pizza in well, Belltown. Good pizza and good atmosphere

I think if some of us met in real life we'd realize that we're not as bad as we think we are. :rotfl:

Curious, when and where are you guys playing? Is it Studio 7?
So far the 16th seems fine but can meet up if on a weekday as well.

I'll get our schedule and off-line you. I've been dying to come to Seattle for awhile and have heard so much about the scene. The Summer is starting for us in July.
I'll still be still popping in here because the Internet is a wonderful place when you can take it with you wherever you go. :rotfl:
