How did you guys like the latest episode?
There's really nothing wrong with it, but I can't help feeling...uninterested.
I liked the previous Tardis story, so this is a bit of a let-down, especially as it's a two-parter.
Not so fond of the constant reminders of the story that is supposed to run through the whole season (the woman peering through something like a cell door window).
Also seems they're going to go on summer hiatus after the second part...

BBC America isn't playing the second part until next week.
So far it seems like a pretty mediocre episode
Not great, but not overly bad either.
In a word, forgettable (so far)

I am just curious if the duplicate doctor has anything to do with what is happening in the rest of the season. This episode was whatever. Just glad the are writing Amy out of most of these last couple of shows.

so do you think Rory will turn out to be made of this same stuff?
maybe the doppleganger Dr wil be the one that got shot in the opening episode?
Hmmmm....
I thought it was okay, but they kinda jumped from the "we're scared" to the "GRRRRR!!!!! ANGRY!" thing. One thing I thought was odd: the Doctor takes the same size shoe that I do. (10 extra wide.)
Coinicidence?

The Doctor's Wife was so good I think most following episodes would find it tough to measure up. Rebel Flesh was good but it wasn't great. It's at least better than Matthew Graham's last Who story, "Fear Her", that was God awful!
You'd think the co-writer of Life On Mars/Ashes To Ashes would do better wouldn't you?

I also fond they whole demenor odd. the "reveal" at the end was a ho hum the "foreshodowing" of the shadowy "trust me" was about as subtle as a freight train is quiet

that depends on how much his contributions controlled each show I found Ashes unwatchable whiel Mars was brilliant

You just wait until the end of the second part. You will be screaming to know the answers and the prog is taking a break until later in the year. :terror:

There's one more after the second part thankfully. I'm not a fan of having a break, it will drive me insane waiting 3 months for it's return!

They should film it American style with 22-25 episodes per season.

They should film it American style
And with BA Baracus saying "I ain't flying in no Tardis!"
The Tardis would then get shot by a Dalek death ray, fly in the air and flip over, crash down, and the Doctor and his companions would crawl out, totally unharmed.
Matt Smith would then say "I love it when a plan comes together...."
Cross-over!!!!!!!!!

I think this is closer to an American Doctor Who :smiley1:

That would be an awesome disguise for the Tardis!:smiley1:
I can see some guy going in, and saying "Hey, it's bigger on the inside! More room to take a really big...."

Larry the Cable Guy would make a good Doctor because he can regenerate.
His former self was Junior Samples :smiley1:

Down loaded the second half. Answers a couple of questions and leaves you asking a bunch more. I hate the break. We will give a month and a half of new shows than take 3 off - that sucks.

Yep, that's it. Exactly how I feel.
Things I did like: the interaction between the two Docs was kind of fun. And I loved hearing him speak with Tom Baker's voice "would you like a jelly baby?"
I'd also would appreciate them making up their minds about the sonic screwdriver's abilities.
At once point, it easily welds shut a metal grid (stopping the bad guys from pursuing), but at the end of the episode, the Doctor needs to keep his shoulder against a door to stop the exact same thing from happening. It either can or it can't, guys...
