Pluck You, Too! the blog of writer Thomas Pluck: 80's Trash of the Week: The Return of Maxwell Smart (The Nude Bomb) (http://www.pluckyoutoo.com/2008/06/return-of-maxwell-smart.html)

This is one of those movies that I saw a lot on Cable in the 80's, as bad as it is I still really enjoy it and it does have some good legit laughs coming mostly from Don Addams. I think the above blog captured how I think of it.

As a kid, I used to watch and like Get Smart but was not exposed to it enough to be put off by the rampant revisionism in the movie ( no 99, he didn't work for control, etc).

The show was a spoof of spy movies and TV in general, this movie is more a narrow spoof of James Bond movies with the Maxwell Smart character transplanted in there.

Get this, a major chase scene in this UNIVERSAL studios movie takes place at the Universal Studios tour. That's some major product placement but Battlestar Galactica fans will love the scene at the Galactica ride.

This is currently streaming on Netflix in HD and also is on DVD.

I remember seeing it in the movies new when it was called The Nude Bomb.

It just felt wrong without the real Chief and 99

I walked out of the theatre pretty let down

Don't like either Get Smart versions (old and new)...both highly annoying to me.
