Long Island NY Mego Meet ?

Do we have enough MM members here on Long Island....to start a Long Island Mego Meet ?

We usually hit the NYCC every year and occasionally a toy show when possible. There were like 15 different members that hit the NYCC last year. It's not the same as MM but it gaps the time between the Meets. If it was tied around something like a show or con I'm sure some members would venture in. The biggest part of the Meet is the nights in the Suite. Just sitting and hanging with the other members is really what its all about. It lets you focus on the people without the distraction of a convention or toy show.

We could probably have a Long Island Mego Meet but someone would have to organize it. Seeing as Mego Meet in WV is only 1 month away it wouldn't make sense to do one anytime soon. You wouldn't get the crowd you get at MM, 100 or so people, but it would be cozier with less than 1/2 that amount. I could see it happen but you still need a location and a good deal of planning.

EMCE Toys will have a booth at New York Comicon in October.
We are starting to plan a panel discussion there.

Someone besides me should start planning a dinner in Manhattan
for that Friday night - October 14th - that way people who work
in the city can make it.
