View Full Version : Buck Rogers Factory Error Sale
I posted this in the marketplace section but I wanted to have it here too so I hope the mods don't mind.
I've got some Buck Rogers and Tiger Man figures with factory errors that I'm selling for a large discount. The primary problem with Buck Rogers is clothing issues, specifically with the gold pilot wings being off center or poorly attached. The most common problem with Tiger Man is paint rubs on the tip of his nose. The price is $22.00 shipped for one figure. If you want more than one contact me for a price quote and provide your zip code. These are being sold "As Is" so no returns will be accepted.
This offer is currently only available to US customers. Payments can be made via PayPal so I'll need your PayPal address to send an invoice.
Thanks,
Craig

Oh, the Earth shattering grumble that will emanate from my domicile when Buck and T-man arrive... If they're as absolutely amazing as I think they are, the shock waves might be felt all across the country.
Thanks so much Craig, for making this special deal available for us.

Ok, I got my figures today;
I really don't know what else to say other than WOW. I could tell from the pictures, that these figures were amazing, but holding these little beauties in your hands is a completely different experience. The attention to detail and the workmanship on these figures, is simply overwhelming. I literally held them, posing them in my hands for over an hour. My hat goes off to Craig for his patience and commitment to the hobby. Having dealt with China before, I know all too well how difficult it is to get these factories to produce the desired effects that you want. These figures are truly remarkable achievements.
Personally, I didn't notice any "factory errors" on the set I got at all. Maybe I just don't notice them, but in any case I adore them and I think it's such a great thing to be able to have them available along with all the wonderful EMCE and Castaway stuff... Truly a great time for the mego enthusiast.

Thanks for the compliments guys and I'm glad to hear you're impressed with the figures. As for the factory errors I listed, some are worse than others but the fact that you didn't notice them on the figures you received goes to show just how picky I can be when it comes to quality.

Got mine today and fell in love with it. It looked great, and the only thing wrong I noticed was the shirt was on backwards and the hands were on the wrong arms. Easy fix. Seriously, I just came back here to PM Craig about getting another. If any more error figs pop up, I'll definitely get one. These are beautiful.

My factory error Buck arrived and Craig you're being too picky. The figure is near perfect. The gold wings are a tiny bit off center. It's nothing that can't be fixed with a little super glue.
Everyone please support this line and make it a success.

Got my error figure yesterday. I think my figure's error is that the shoulder "bib" is sewed a bit uneven ( one side is bunched up a bit while the other side is not). Still looks great. That would be the type of thing CTVT would put at the front of the line :)

If the Bucks I received are factory errors... I'm blown away by what that could mean for the non errors.
Seriously, awesome stuff, awesome quality.

I was about to post almost the same thing, word-for-word!
I opened mine Friday expecting an emblem mounted sideways or hafway to the left of his chest, but this looks TERRIFIC, and I can't heap enough praise on it -- Outstanding work and quality!

I undid the under-stitching which was causing the bib to bunch up and look uneven and now all that's different about it is that the bib is not secured to the shirt at one side.
Biddi-biddi-biddi... "nice fix Buck"
Tight money and the fact that while I like the 1980 Buck Rogers, I am not a rabid fan kept me from getting the figures at the higher price point, even though it was tempting and they look great and are worth the money.
But now that I got one in my hot little hands, it is indeed the big deal and fantastically put together and thought out.

Just wanted to let everyone know I have more factory error Buck and Tiger Man figures for sale. The most common problem with Buck is with the gold pilot wings being attached poorly or in the wrong place. There may also be issues with the clothing such as poor stitching and/or stains. Tiger Man has paint rubs on the nose. Please be aware that these are being sold "as is" with no returns. The price is $22.00 shipped in the US only.
To place an order for one figure, please provide me with your PayPal email address and I will send you an invoice. To place an order for multiple figures, please provide me with your zip code and PayPal email address.
Thanks,
Craig

I also feel compelled to jump in and talk about my ZICA figure. I picked up the Buck Rogers factory error figure for two reasons; first, because I at least wanted Buck & Hawk, and second to see if the quality is worth the price. Getting Buck at half price was a perfect opportunity. (The only flaw mine had was that the wings were glued slightly off center, an easily fixable detail.)
My Buck Rogers arrived today, and as I was telling Craig (ZICA's Mastermind is a good term to use here), the figure is amazing. I could tell from the pics that he would be, but until I actually had the figure, I didn't realize exactly how amazing. The details are great, and the work that has gone into making the uniform and accessories screen accurate paid off. The pants even have the vertical lines on them! I couldn't see them in the images, and didn't even care if they were there or not, but they're there. Having so much detail put into these makes them well worth the full price. I held off on getting them because of the price, mostly because I don't usually spend so much on a single toy. But now that I've got Buck, I can honestly say that the detail and design make these worth every penny. I can only imagine how awesome Tiger Man and the Draconian Guard are! I can tell you that I won't hesitate to pick up the rest now that I have seen the quality firsthand. I know I'm only echoing what other people are saying about these figures, but I had to share my excitement.
Add my voice to the many others yelling their approval of these great figures...

Placed my order on the 15th, and came home today to catch a very quick glimpse of a black clad individual at my doorstep. With a puff of smoke and a faint whisper on the wind ("Ziiiiccccaaaaaa...."), the man in black was gone, and I somehow had a package in my hand, where there was none a scant moment before! "Domo, Zica Ninja! Domo Arigato!!!!" I yelled!
Taking the box inside, opening it, and lo and behold my Factory Error Buck and Tiger Man figures were within! Only errors I saw was a tiny loose thread and an ultra microscopic black spot on Buck's shirt, and a hint of a smudge on Tiger Man's nose. That's it? Those were the errors? Craig, way too hard on yourself, son! You not only knocked these figures out of the park, you knocked 'em out of the tri-state area. If you maintain this level of quality, I can only imagine how mind-numbingly stunning the other figures (especially the Wilma Deering figure. YOWZA!) will be.
Full marks, lad! :)

I probably am being a little too picky when it comes to these factory error figures. It's mainly because I'm paranoid that I'll have a buyer who is as nuts as I am when it comes to the very small details. :googly:
Glad to hear you're impressed with the figures!

More than impressed, Craig. I'm in awe, sir! The likenesses are terrific, the level of detail on the outfits is astonishing, and the packaging kicks it up a notch (easy to open and put the figures back in, plus boxed figures always seemed to be a bit more upscale anyway than their common carded brethren).
Count me in on Hawk, Kane and the Draconian Guard when they become available, and I needs me a Wilma and Ardala, too! 'Cause Buck gets cold at night! ;)

Got my second factory error Buck today, and I'm even more impressed than I was with the first. Zica's the best, guys--if you haven't checked them out yet, do yourself a favor and get on it.
Fingers crossed they get the Six Million Dollar Man license!
