The purpose of this practice was working from someone else's concept sketch. ( sketch is SOMEWHERE??) This was a tiny black and white sketch of the face only

I hate leaving a head alone so I got the go ahead to "finish " the guy.
HOW its put together is the crazy part.

The head is VERY heavy. Theres armature metal pipe holding it up. that pipe actually travels down the neck and under the Blanket that the Thing has wrapped up in. Thelegs and arms are on armature wire for posing ( playing) There is no seat to the chair or body to the creature. It was easiest to cover it all by making a cloth costume.

If I had known I was making the whole body the head would have been smaller , Creature would have been standing, It would have been a boring bald alien in a space suit standing in a desert or control panel probably.

He's nicknamed "Skinless Doug" I dont know anything about HIS real story( or name) other than hes in a hospital . I just made the thing!! (I think I was working out some issues with my back surgery.)
