Bucks Shoes VS. Boots

A question for Craig, that has bothered me since I picked up my AMAZING BUCK ROGERS figure. Why did you go with shoes vs. boots? Did Buck wear shoes in the show? Boots seem to be the common footwear for most sci fi shows, and I never noticed Buck wearing white shoes.....

Dont get me wrong..I LOVE the figure, and I AM NOT critisizing. I just wanted to know the thought process. Thanks

Based on all of the reference images I've looked at of Buck in his white outfit he appears to be wearing shoes. The original Mego 12" Buck figure also had shoes which is another reason I went with that option.

The shoes are accurate for the series, though they remind me (shapewise) of bedroom slippers. How about a "casual wear" Buck, with slippers and a bathrobe?

I wondered about this too, it is the only thing I don't like about the figure. I think boots would have looked much better, but at the same time I think it is better to stick with accuracy to the character.

In the movie and TV series Buck's pants were basically like stirrup pants that actually went over the shoes. I tried to make the pants for the figure the same way but the stirrup part ended up being too bulky.

I have really enjoyed the attention to detail these characters have gotten. I think they resemble their television counterparts accurately.

Don't mind the shoes at all, would love another version of Buck though, in the dress uniform with boots. That would be killer.

I'd rather see Buck wearing one of the season 2 outfits.....the black or blue one would be cool with the brown jacket he wore....at least I think that is how it was

Actually a range of outfits for Buck, Wilma, Ardala (especially), would be kinda nice and retro. Along the lines of the SMDM line. But acurate ones of course.
