hate to be a bubble burster but I know someone who tried desperately to license the film and there is actually no interest from the license holders.

Which is something I've never understood.
Unless there's an emotional component (like Landau doesn't want his Space:1999 face monetized or what have you) or a concern for damage to intellectual property (cheap knock off quality or over-saturation) what's the point of holding a dead cult license and not allowing commercial projects?
It's not like Blade Runner will get any LESS current...
What about a megomeet "Blade runner" :wink_y:

My friend tracked the license to a lawyer's office and if I recall, they just yelled at him and hung up.

Next best thing...
Perhaps someone can license Do Android Dream of Electric Sheep. (like Zica/Go Hero is doing with Logan's Run and Harryhausen stuff)
Boom has been putting out close-enough to Harrison Ford comic books.

I'm still trying to figure out the ridiculous pattern on his shirt and tie for my custom. A fellow museum member made me a terrific trenchcoat.

Well I see the Japanese toy company Medicom got the license for at least one product. A Spinner Car was released with the DVD.
