Hello All,
I was at an automotive swap meet on the weekend looking for NOS parts for my 66 mustang and came across some Big Jim items. There are always a few toy venders at the car part swap meets. The vendor had a Big Jim Camper/Motorhome type vehicle and a Big Jim carrying case. I think he wanted 30 for the motorhome, but would probably take less. It was loose and in decent played with condition with no accessories. I am not sure what it came with originally. Should I have picked this up? Is there a market for this item. If I come across this again are any of the members collecting these? I have no interest in it but could trade it for other stuff i appreciate. What is the value of a decent loose Brown motorhome.

No, they didn't have any mego's. An no they had no mustang parts I needed either.:smiley1:

Sure, there are people who collect Big Jim stuff. However he may have been a little high. I got a mint in box one at a toy store here in the LA area for about $35 a year or so ago. It was mostly complete. It came with some camping gear, a campfire, chairs, a boat, etc.

If you give me a day or two I'll post a pic of the complete camper. I've had it since the mid 1970's and it's still all there!

Yeah. $30.00 is high for a loose Big Jim camper with no accessories. I know Big Jim prices can fluctuate from time to time. But the camper is a pretty common item, so it never goes for much, no matter how mint.

Great pics.
I had the camper as a kid, and seeing it there complete with all the accessories sure brings back memories.
