Somebody please help! Captain Mar-Vel experts!!

I have been working/picking/prodding at this original Marvel comics Captain Marvel mego custom figure for quite awhile.

Yes, I know he is dead...but I have been wanting to do this custom for awhile.

I have done everything right. Just can't figure out what is the deal with his ears?

Does he have slip ears like Captain America?



This one shows him with his fleshy ears sticking out the mask.





This one shows he has a full mask that covers the ears


If anybody has any old comicbooks lying around I could really use the advice

Didn't it depend upon who was drawing him at the time?

It's your figure; if you want him to have ears, give him ears.

I always remember him having ears out, but JediJaida is right it just depends on who was drawing him at the moment.

Ears out is pretty definitively "Retro".


Most consider Starlin's run the definitive, and his comics have the ears out.

samurainoir you just convinced me. Next time you see my Captain Marvel he will have painted ears.

I'm was too young and I don't have any copies of the old 70's Captain Mar-vel books. Anyone tell me why he went to white hair for a bit?
