Matching Paint Color to a Brown Mego Body

I am making a couple of villains and I need to match up the paint I am using for their faces to that of the brown Mego ape/Falcon body because they are going to have their arms and legs partially exposed.

Anybody have a good match for me? Please provide brand, color and where I can find it.

    Thanks a bunch!

    Peace, Love and Megos,

    Austin

this probably doesn't help much, but I did some PMS matching from mego bodies last year. The closest I was able to match the mego african american body by eye was PMS 7588. Maybe someone can translate that to a paint color for you.
    Fresh, not from concentrate.

Austin, try Folkart Burnt Sienna. You may need to mix it with a tad of orange. This should give you the color you are seeking.

Oranges, browns, & yellows are the hardest to match.

John's right, adding a bit of orange to the dark brown should work--I've often noticed when retouching hair rubs that the Mego brunets have a reddish undertone.

I'm sure you can get pretty close in matching a head to a body, but a bit of contrast will make it seem more Megoesque ;-)

          Hmmmm....

The cheapie Testors enamel paint has colours that match Mego bodies pretty good right out of the jar. BUT: they're really thick, so you need to use 'em on stuff without a lot of fine detail. They're hard to paint over, too. (A coat of mat varnish will provide enough bite to paint over with acrylics.)
