A good crystal ball option

CTVT has a bowling ball & pins set. The ball is shiny but also translucent with a blue tint. Here is a pic to show the scale.

walmart sales them for a dollar, in the dollar toy section.
also look at michaels & walmart room accents isle for bag of color glass stones and orbs
