Thing and Spiderman heads and hands

Has anyone filled in the lines on their heads and hands to make them match the lines in the Thing's outfit or Spidey's webs?
I always wanted to do that but was afraid of screwing up and having black marker lines where they shouldn't be.

Here's an interesting idea you might want to consider. Take some black acrylic paint and dry brush it on the heads. Then take a cloth and simply wipe off the surface and there you have it. The cracks (or webbing) are filled in. The paint is water soluble, so you can take off anything you don't want. That should pull out the detail your looking for.

On my Custom Thing...I just painted the Cracks first, and then the surface 2nd. It wasn't hard.

I used a marker to draw the lines on spidey as a kid.
Then chewed it off again

Permanent marker will soak in and blur. Don't do it. People do it to eyebrows on figures all the time, and a year later they have huge ones across their forehead.

I always did that with my Thing & Spidey.
