    Yard Sale Season Begins!

Today after watching some b-ball me and a friend went out thrifting and then hit a yard sale late in the day. Typical sort of bleak sale with not much left (it was 3 in the afternoon). Anyway, we asked if the guy had any records and he said he did and he invited us inside to look thru 4 crates of records. Pulled a bunch of cool stuff--bought 60 LP's or so. In the room with the records was a pile of Star Wars toys! I asked him if they were for sale. After a quick negotiation and a good price I walked with these!

Half of the figures have weapons and are in great shape!

Not a bad haul at all! Sometimes it helps to tell folks what you're looking for!

Anybody else hit the yard sales today?

Great unexpected find. Just goes to prove the point once again "It never hurts to ask".

I did not do any yard sales today as the weather is still on the cold side here right now. Although I have plans to be hitting them just as soon as they starting having them. Got to love those yard sales. They are even better than the thrift store finds most of the time.

Nice haul! Unfortunately, yard sale season is still a couple months away in my neck of the woods.

Hey Meanie! Coolest records were actually jazz--Coltrane "Ascension" original on Impulse, Monk at the BlackHawk original on Riverside, 5 or 6 Miles Davis on Columbia etc etc. Loads of classic rock commons--Led Zep, Dylan, Beatles etc etc. Oh yeah, Love "De Capo" original first press on Elektra. Pretty decent haul.....

Very nice. Miles LP's...."6 Eye" or re-issues? My best pickup ever record wise was a Miles Davis "Kind Of Blue" steal sealed inside...Columbia "6 Eye" First thing I ever sold on Ebay...The guy I sold it to was a Doctor down in Georgia. I asked him if he was going to keep it sealed or open it up and play it...He opened it up. That's what I would have done too.

Most were 2 eye mid 60's releases.

Yeah, Kind of Blue 6 eyes go for crazy money when you consider how common they actually are. I mean, that records sold A LOT of copies....I sold a VG+ copy a couple years ago for $150....

Just starting around here but weather has not cooperated. I should be on my way to our first Sunday Caffeine and Octane car show from 7:00 am to 11:00 am but it has been raining all weekend. No yard sales yesterday because of the rain.
Too many toys. Not enough space!
