I know the buttons are different but what about the dress itself. In the pichttp://www.megomuseum.com/woz/images/DorothyButtons.jpg
the type one dress looks brighter than type 2 am I right or is it just the lighting. It may be easier to catch when looking for Dorothy's Instead of the buttons that are so close to the same...

I'm sure there are several variations in patterns and materials used.
I had a Dorothy dress with made with very stiff, and much darker sleeves.
The material felt nothing at all like the printed parts.

Could any other or all of the costumes have unknown variants to the costume like yours

There is a fine line between variant and different. Probably each and every piece that came off the Mego lines is a variant if you look hard enough.

I've seen a Dorothy dress where the sleeves are made of some sort of stiff vinyl material. They had turned brown.

I don't remember Rob. It's put away. But I know it was not the same cloth material they are usually made from.
