    Lack of proper sized motorcycles

I think it's a shame that there's such a lack of motorcycles in the proper scale for these figures.

Getting a Harley Davidson cycle is a dream of mine, but they are rather pricey.

So, I was thinking of getting a pink Barbie cycle, taking it apart, taping off the proper bits, and spray painting the sucker!

I was thinking of a nice, basic black with a bit of ooomph to it.

Any suggestions for jazzing/pimping it up?

I'm always on the look-out myself for these...as well as jeeps/copters/sleds/etc.

I find that the dollar stores are often goldmines for this 8" scale. When I DO find plastic jeeps, blow-molded snowmobiles, and Made in China motorcycles in this scale in the future, you can bet your azz that I'm buying them ALL up to redistribute HERE! (I found some recently made by a Tootsie-type company, you guys know the ones, and they were in PERFECT Mego scale...but they were neon green with white wheels...in hindsight, I should have bought them all..wasnt thinking of the re-painting thing...)

I cant help you with any ideas for customizing a bike, but I HAVE got about 1/2 or so of a Mego Batcycle, if this would help your cause?

    Good luck -

LOL! My good friend AAAA pointed me in the direction of a 1:9 scale Harley that was on good ol' ebay for 18.99.

      I scored it.

Now, where to get Harley style clothing in the appropriate size.....

You can find the Keyring leather jackets at Party stores for les than 3 dollars most days...They are a TIIIGHT fit on T1s and probably wont fit a T2 at all...Hutch leather vests from CTTV are a good MC look as well.

Hopefully they will fit the female figures a bit better.

Why doesnt some one make a garage kit of the Aurora batcycle and enlarge it to 1/9th scale ?

There are some nice wooden motorcycles close to Mego scale. I found them at a CVS during the holidays a few years ago. Check your local stores an see if the have them. I'll try to dig out some photos.

GI Joe Sigma 6 had a cool one for 8 inch figures, too. Someday I'll paint it up for a Batbike.

                        Hmmmm....

Dolar stores can be surprisingly good sources for stuff. I found a perfect Mego scale motor scooter once. Couldn't find any more though.

Adding in for the sake of sharing info... I think it was Orange County choppers that came out with 1/9 scale metal cycles. I found 2 at a flea market for $10 a piece. Also there was a Harley Davidson 1/9 scale model kit produced for those inclined towards the model building way.

What about the Evel Knievel motorcycle from the 70s? It might not be the most detailed thing out there but it should be pretty close in scale.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
