Mego style cape material at dollar stores

Dollar Tree out here in Philly has some outfits for teddy bears and dolls, fireman, cop etc, really cheaply made but the material is as close to the Mego capes as I've seen anywhere. For a buck a pop, you'll get at least one cape from each piece, maybe even 2.
They also have some ugly as hell action figures with decent weapons for customizing

I've been playing around with the colored table cloths they sell. Its a real thin vinyl. I used it for my Red Robin cape by spray mounting black and yellow together.
