Being a new member, was just wondering how Wheeling, WV. was picked for having the mego meet.

Cost. Renting the Kruger Toy Museum for the event is free. Which means no added cost to admission. Super 8 is about $60+ a night with the discount. General admission is $12. Tables are $20. Pretty cheap venue. There is no other city where that could happen. Yea, it's a little hard to get to (takes me 14 hours driving) but it's worth it. Some fly to Pittsburgh and drive over.

Really ? 20$$ a table?
What are teh guidelines for what you can sell? I dont have so much Mego . What about selling Resin Heads and custom pieces etc? Is that okay?

Same rules as the marketplace. Anything you'd see at a toy show is welcome. While you will see the most Megos for sale anywhere here you will also see just about anything else toy wise as well. Resin heads and custom pieces are good. Look through the pics of the dealers room from last year. They will give you a good idea.

Yes. As always there is an official Mego Meet 2011 exclusive figure this year. Also, we have several members who make their own MM exclusive figures, and they rock.
I believe it was chosen to be convenient for me. I am pretty much the center of the universe.

ANyone know when we can go ahead and pay the admission/table fees? I hadn't seen anything posted. I'd just like to get everything done early this year.

I don't think Dave has posted anything yet. I think they are still trying to get megomeet.com back and running.

Wheeling is an inexpensive venue to be sure. It seemed many of the people from the Museum here could travel to WV because it was within reach. The first gathering we had was at Megocon in NYC, a year or more prior, but being in NY didn't seem to give a boost to attendance. Also the small town venue as opposed to the big city makes Mego Meet a more enjoyable, cozier gathering.
