I like the Peas....hate their "Time/Dirty Bit" song though so I'm glad it didnt get much play. They were more exciting than the Who snooze fest last year IMO...

Worst. show. ever...really didn't want to see another Who-fiasco, but there had to be somebody better than the BEPs. Maybe it's time to just drop the overly-inflated halftime show and just run an episode of Family Guy.

What was so great about the halftime show?!!? Fergie sounded HORRIBLE...she basically screamed the lyrics...and I could give a rats you know what about dance moves. The only thing that would have saved that halftime debacle would have been a wardrobe malfunction like Janet had a few years back. And somebody please tell Usher his imitation of Michael Jackson is OLD and his career is basically DONE. The real shame of it all is that Fergie is a really good singer...she should stick with the Solo career.

Fergie sucked ...but I liked the light show. The BEPs were fine except for Fergie. I'm disappointed she sang Sweet Child O'Mine. She can't carry a tune when it's live!

I'm sure whoever was responsible for the lighting which spelled LOVE were sweating bullets because the lights were not turning on.

I thought it wasn't that great, too, but a lot of that blame falls on the sound crew and various lighting issues they had. It was pretty ambitious as far as the lighting and costumes and choreography and number of performers went, so it's kind of a wash as far as I'm concerned. The costumes were pretty awesome; they looked like superheroes from space or something.

I thought the Slash/GNR part was pretty lame, mostly because I am sick to death of that stupid song and it just seemed grafted in, like the halftime show organizers are sitting around and saying, "Okay, we have this act that might not appeal to people who like rock music, so let's get some rock guy in there... who is available?"

I knew of the performer's name but had not idea she was part of that group. I liked the dancing and the costumes for some reason they made me think of the "space rockers" episode of Buck Rogers.:smiley1:

Yep, you are an old geezer if you didn't know Fergie was part of the BEP's. She yells her name in a good amount of the songs.

the sound was just awful. I thought the show they were trying to put on was good but the sound system was just awful, they all sounded bad. it was worth watching just to see Fergie in that outfit though :wink_y:

t was the worst thing I ever witnessed. Aguilera butchers the National Anthem, Black eyed peas rotfl. The one bright spot was Slash appearing and then they turn down the volume on his guitar so we can hear Ferfie murder Sweet Child of mine.
