    SMDM repair advice?

Two quick questions, if you guys can help me. I have a second version SMDM figure and the skin on his arm is stuck like paint. I've chipped off a bit, but am having trouble with the rest. 1) What would remove that latex without messing up the arm underneath? 2) His girder is bent flat, as if something heavy has been on it for 30 years. I've tried heating it in the sink, straightening it, then cool water with no result. Thanks!

placing it warm water worked for me for the arm
the girder has taken a set to its new form, from the weight that was on it.

The Girder is deteriorated and will most likely never go back to its normal shape :(

I think you guys are right, but I'm hell-bent on figuring something out. The hot water on the arm was tough when I was using my fingernail (the latex was like paint, almost), but I took the flat side of a butter knife to it and that made it come off much easier. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to get a different girder at some point. I was thinking about heating up a straightened paperclip and driving it through to help give it some structure, but I think the girder's too thin for that.

                Hmmmm....

If you REALLY need to rebend the girder you can use the old model kit trick of heating it over a candle and rebending it.... BUT this is really tough to do and you'll probably end up melting and/or scorching the plastic.
