    Advice on custom bodies.

Have a question for the veterans here on MM. Been thinking of doing a couple customs and need some new bodies. In your opinions who has the best bodies, Doc, castaway, CTVT, etc... any feedback is appreciated. Thanks Dan.

Both of those are good choices.

I did a little research on the Zica bodies, wow those are nice. Where can I order them, the website is not much help, from what I understand, they sell out of these quickly, are they getting more in?

Doc Mego's are exact replicas of the standard T2 Mego body. Many use his bodies for customs. They can take a lot of punishment. They seem to be made out of more durable plastic than the original Megos. Doc has also adapted his figures to have a swivelling bicep feature since the Flash Gordon figures were released by BiffBangPow.

Cast-a-way are nearly the same as Doc's. They were the only ones to have a swivelling arm feature in the bicep until Zica came along and Doc upgraded his figures. They also have interchangable hands for holding guns and other accessories.

Zica bodies appear to be fraction taller and beefier with interchangable hands for holding guns and other accessories. The arms swivel where the shoulder connects and there is no split in the bicep as in Doc's and Cast-a-way's figures. They sell out fast. I don't know when the next shipment of Zica bodies are coming in. usually they preceed or follow the next releases of their Buck Rogers figures. You shoule got to the Re-Mego catagory and find the guy from Zica and contact him via PM or go to his website: Home .

CTVT bodies aren't worth the petroleum used to make the plastic.

Seriously you get what you pay for.

CTVT bodies are cheap and "good enough" if you're going to make a custom and put it on a blister card never to be opened or touched again... that is, unless you get one of their many broken bodies.

For play, you can't beat the good Doc or Castaway. I haven't laid hands on a Zica yet, but they look tasty.

Until Doc gets in the swivel arms, try CAW's if you plan on posing with hands on hips.

And the Doc is planning on getting updated HULK bodies soon... so more fun there.
