    Accurate Captain America?

Has anyone made CA correct with the white sleeves, red gloves and red buccaneer boots?

Cool, but I was not looking for a scatch built. I was just looking for an actual corrected mego with the white sleeves, red gloves and res boots, no other cahnges at all, just a corrected one.

The closest one would be the Hasbro signature series version.

So, in all of these years, no one has a "corrected" Mego CA, I find that hard to believe.

Just checked Ebay, there is one next to a custom Steve Rogers that is exactly what I was looking for. not a complete custom, just a completed Mego, or what mego ShOULD have done. If the bid wasn't $65, I jump on it. Very, very nice.

If you're looking for a 'Steve Rogers', I'd once again use the retro Aquaman head in a 'corrected' Cap suit, which would be super as a young version.

I heard for Famous Covers versions, putting the FC Cap suit on a Big Jim looks pretty swell.. I just never liked that HUGE star on his chest..

Dude, you need to do a little more research. Try searching the forums for Captain America threads in Finished Customs and also check out the Customego section of the site. You'll find all sorts of Corrected Cap customs.

He is probably THE most "corrected" of all the Mego figures in existence.

                      ^Yep!

On some vintage Cap figures, customizers have:

--repainted the face (makes a HUGE difference)
--added red hands & cuffed boots
                      --modified the belt & sleeves.

                      Variations abound!
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I always considered taking the HUGE NOGGIN and cutting it out into a First apperance mask/helmet. Then slapping it on a GI Joe or something.
                        Anybody done that?

He is doing research. He's asking us.
If I knew how to look things up properly I wouldnt ask so many silly questions.

I'll throw my Cap suit variation into the ring with the above mentioned face repaint.

Strange how Mego painted Iron Man's eyes in so carefully but just hit caps eyeballs with 2 dark spots and left it at that. I have one of Mr. Leitner's Cap suits and it is really good-and affordable. I just haven't gotten around to painting the Cap head yet. I bought a custom sculpted head at a Mego Meet. Brian, how did you repaint the Cap head? Is that an original or a recasted head in resin? What paints did you use?

Here is an array of my Caps.

The one in the car has a printed suit, Doc Mego red Mr Fantastic gloves, CTVT red pirate boots and a black Robin belt. Oh, yeah, and a Cory Wood head
