    How to fit a head

O.K. probably a newbie question but - I got a Koenig head from Dr. Mego and it's hard as a rock, not a problem but how do you attach it to a body? Not being soft the plug isn't going to fit through the hole and if I make the hole bigger then the head will be loose.

If it's going on a Mego body, you can boil water and soak the top of the torso and the neck plug and they'll get soft and shove the plug in. I'd sand down the neck plug until it isn't too much bigger around than the neck opening. That should work.

I have a CTVT body that I was going to use. The head seems to be something like baked Sculpy.

ctvt bodies should also get soft in boiling water.

If it's one of Pauls already made heads then you'll need to either trim the neck plug until it pops into the body or widen the neck hole of the body itself. I tend to trim the neck plug myself.

I got an Alan Virdon replacement head from Doc and trimmed the neck plug down with an X-acto knife. Just trimmed the plug down until it popped right in T1 Mego body. Once the head was popped in, you'd never notice the neck plug trimming.
