Did Matchbox cars make tracks comparable to Hot Wheels?

I have a LOAD of old Matchbox cars that I got from the old Price Club in the 80s. They have a wider wheel base than Hot Wheels and won't fit on the classic orange track. Did Matchbox make a track for their cars that was like the Hot Wheels track? (not slot tracks)

I've never heard of Matchbox making Hot Wheels style track which seems odd considering the changed their style of wheels to compete head-to-head with Mattel.

I dont think they ever did either.....at least not that was sold in North America. Maybe overseas during the Lesney days???

I know Corgi made some sets for the UK and Europe (and maybe NA?) when they introduced the Whizzwheels line, but even that was short lived I believe.

I think they made a few playsets but nothing like hot wheels. if any track was made it was prob. just short little bits that go to the playsets they made. and have limited use

I think you're right on that given that it is almost impossible to find any info on Matchbox tracks except a few items on Europen auction sites.

I don't remember ever seeing a Matchbox track as a kid, but I do remember seeing tons of cool play sets of car washes, police stations, fire stations, and the like. Maybe, play sets were their focus since Hot Wheels was king of the race track sets.

Thanks for your help guys. But I guess I'll have to get some more Hot Wheels.
