Awesome stuff! I love this junk too! Does anyone have this stuff with the foam still in the can after all of these years? Interesting how it looks like the DC artwork was commissioned specifically for the cans whereas the Marvel ones are just stock artwork and the holes don't exactly line-up where the mouths should be.

I have the Superman one in my collection and I was SO happy the day I got it.

I found the rerelease animated-style Superman that came out a little while ago at a local salvage store. They had Wonder Woman and Batman there, too.

I can't even remember what I paid for mine, but it has a cracked cap. If I had to put a price on them, I'd say they typically sell between $25 and $75, sometimes higher if two motivated bidders get involved. They're one of those oddball pieces that can go crazy if the right people happen to do the right search that day on eBay or go really low if no one notices.

Ahhhhh... The smell of Crazy Foam!! I remember it well. I still have the Robin can I had as a kid, and earlier this year got a minty partially full one from rcbats (Mitch)!! I remember it having the consistency of shaving foam, and wanting to get more of the characters but it not being distributed for too long.

Whenever I squirt my son's environmentally sensitive bath foam into the tub for him I wonder what kind of chemical Crazy Foam bath I was floating around in as a kid. Well, I do still have most of hair and managed to father a healthy child so I guess I'm ok;)

there is a whole community of crazyfoam collectors. I saw some awesome custom ones awhile ago.

Robin looks like he has a mustache.

I really can't understand the appeal of my favorite superheroes puking foam at me while I'm naked.

I have the Batman container. One of my favorites as a kid! If I could get my hands on the Spidey one, I would be content to stop there.

I had ones from the 1960's, just the tops not the whole cans and they weren't any specific characters. Don't ask why my mother saved them, I have no idea. For years I didn't even know what they were and they were almost thrown out quite a few times. A few years ago I found out what they were and put them on ebay - sit down for this:

I had 17 can heads ( out of about 21 that I was able to find out about on the web ) and they sold for

$500.00:grin::googly:

Yowsa.. $500 is quite nice..

Yes, I recall seeing them back in '73 and always wanted to buy some cans, but my Mom wrote it off as a waste of money. I was disappointed, but hey, she's the one who ordered my Captain America beach towel (in my Gallery..), and made SURE I never used it..

She knew her stuff.

I saw the commercials, but I never asked for these. I'm not sure why. They never advertised Wonder Woman, or I probably would have. I had all kinds of other novelty stuff for bathtime. If it was something to get clean w/, then my mom was all for it! Bath salts that changed the color of the water, soaps in funny shapes, different bubble baths, but the kicker was when I begged for and got (and I swear this was the name of it), "Super Smelling, Pretty Colored, Finger Paints That Turn To Bubble Bath".

I'd love a Robin, despite the fact his "R" colors are backwards.

I imagine that there must be good cans and rusty can, etc. The same way one would lokk for lunch boxes.

I loved these as a kid. I think it was the large graphics that did it for me. Even then, I liked large images of my favorite heroes. It was odd to have super heroes barfing white foam, but hey, it was the 70s! Your average rock star did that at least twice a day!

Love these fun little pieces of history. Out of the 6 (there was a WW too)I'd have to say Robin is probably the coolest of the bunch.
